David is a teacher at Coulsdon college and he as a lot of experiences with bullying in class as well outside the class and he knows about a lot of stories of students who as been affected and also those who inflict the bullying.

Barrington is a media teacher in coulsdon college. As he stated " I hate bullying" he as very strong point of view about bullying in schools not only about students to students but also a lot about corporate bullying to do with employer and employees in school. During his class he always emphasises on his view of bullying and that it will not be tolerated in his class and he is now currently trying to get a few of his students to stop targeting on of the Coulsdon college employees.

Wendy is the student councillor for coulsdon college she deals she deals with any problems that students may have. She has students that have problems that have been bullied from friends, plus what she was saying that students experiences bullying in college start from secondary school with friends where was verbally and physical and also within relationship boyfriends have bullied girlfriends into sexual exploitation

3rd Documentary Ross Kemp on gangs - Poland

Ross Kemp - On Gangs (Hooligans)

This is my third documentary that I will analyse, the person I choose is call Ross Kemp is an English actor, author and BAFTA award-winning investigative journalist who rose to prominence in the role of Grant Mitchell in the BBC soap opera EastEnders. Since 2006, Kemp has received international recognition as an investigative journalist for his critically acclaimed and award-winning documentary series Ross Kemp on Gangs.

1.) What is the social issue being focused on in this documentary?

Ross Kemp travels to Poland to visit the Polish football hooligans who have become some of the most feared gangs in Europe. Ross joins an elite police riot squad as they escort a notoriously violent hooligan gang and travels to Gorzów, to meet the leaders of the brutal Stilon Fighters. They don't show faces on the front of camera, they want to keep they identity. The meaning of hooligans is basically football hooliganism or different Soccer hooliganism refers to unruly, violent, and destructive behaviour by overzealous supporters of association football clubs, including brawling, vandalism and intimidation.

Football hooliganism normally involves conflict between gangs, often known as football firms, and this from the British slang for a criminal gang), formed for the specific purpose of intimidating and physically attacking supporters of other teams.

2.) Summaries what happens in the beginning/ middle/end of this documentary.

Beginning
What happened on the beginning of Ross Kemp documentary is that he came to Poland for the reason to find out more about gangs which is means football hooligans which cause the violent, and destructive behaviour by overzealous supporters of association football clubs, including brawling, vandalism and intimidation. Ross went to a football match against Wisla Krakow Vs Lech Poznan and he was for all the time with the Police waiting for a opposite team supporters before they will arrive to the station and he see all the security steps what police is doing, what weapons they have with the such as shotguns, gum bullets etc.

Middle
Ross Kemp went to Gorzów Wielkopolski to talk to hooligans on stadiums and why they use name of Adolf Hitler on stadium? why they using the Adolf Hitler cross? and why they are so close to him and his life

End

The end of documentary Ross Kemp saying that, it is his third week in Poland and he come back from Gorzów to Krakow for the derby match Cracovia Vs Wisla Krakow and basically what is the distance between those team is just a small path inside the park and this is an example. The stadium which is on the front of this Picture is Cracovia stadium and the futher stadium is Wisla Krakow and they are basically most enemy is Krakow (Cracow) against those two teams.

Ross was very shocked because police is trying to push away Cravovia fans away from Wisla supporters and what he see is a women walking out from her shop and throwing a rubbish either fights are going around her shop.

The techniques which are used to maintain the audience attention is basically shots and camera angles which are showing the stadium vandalism and force of police to keep away supporters from home team, plus Ross show real gangs when he met them in secret spot and they choose the place where they want to meet and what time.

5.) What is the purpose of this documentary? What changes is it campaigning for?

The purpose of this documentary is focusing on gangs in Poland and football hooligans and I think it is to show a gangs and police and to know how to fight and stop this on different stadiums not only in Poland but around the world. That was another example of Ross documentary on gangs.

6.) Who is the target audience? Age/gender/interest/location/language etc. 

I think the target audience for this type of this documentary is audience at age 15 and above, the gender which this documentary is targeted is mostly male because the whole documentary is based on hooligans and gangs and we mostly see males because is all about fighting, and racism on stadiums or either outside and we have experience this in Ross documentary.
Interest of this will be people who like football, support they own team, like to fight and hating security/police.

Location is very clear which is mostly we see is happening on stadiums or on private spots where two different members of different teams bringing 15, 20 or either 30 people to fight where they only using fist and no any different weapons.

The language which is basically used in Ross Kemp documentary is in Polish but we all see English subtitles and this documentary is focused on Poles and Poland and all this which they said is mostly translate but not all of it because they might cover some of the swearing content etc.

How the audience been targeted is about the content which is included in this documentary, plus in documentary the gangs saying that they coming to the stadium for the match from very young age and in my opinion the best age will be 15 and above.

This report was found on 9th of Match 2015 at 12:12pm and in this report is all about statistic where are people get bullied in general what I mean is the physical and mental bulling that happening in schools, colleges and in some of work places.

Those statistic that I have found are from year 2014 and it was from "The Annual Surveys" which has all key findings such as in United Kingdom 45% of young people experience bullying before the age of 18 and that includes bullying mostly in schools etc.

Here are statistic of number of children who are victims of cyber bullying which has doubles in year which 35% of 11 to 17 year-olds has been or they still been bullied online comparing to last year 2013 which was 16% has double and grown almost by 22%.


Why this has been double because thousand of teenagers and included 15 or under using messaging service such as Snapchat and dating app such as Tinder everyday and that is the social issue. The community affected by the issue because anyone can uses those apps, every teenager has apps such as Snapchat because is most useable app on smartphones.

Here is another statistics showing who has been bullied mostly in schools, males or females. Some of bulling has not been mentioned which is 1,686 and 443 has been mentioned for females and 1,765 for males 377 has been mentioned. This show that bulling don't want to be show off and what I see is that bulling want be hide by students in school because they scare to tell anyone to let them help to protect against bullying, and what students do is just hiding physical and mental bullying 

Interview Techniques 02/03/2015

1.) How did you demonstrate that you were listening?
In my interview I have demonstrate that I was listening to me interviewee by using eye contact asking a interviewee question and expanding on the topic and plus I was nodding that let them know that I am listing.



2.) How did you adopt your question/style to suit the interview+interviewee?
By asking the interviewee the first question I already know that interviewee already know something about this topic which bullying and cyber bullying and I was asking an interviewee easy question then I was cutting to the difficult question such as , personal question but before that I asked the interviewee if will be able to give some example if they wish I didn't force them to answer if they don't want answer this type of question.



3.) What have you learned today?
I have learned a lot of this practice exercise because it gave me some clues which I might ask interviewee in the future interview or either documentary and tips which such as eye contact and make the interviewee more comfortable to the question such as, talk for a bit about something which is related to the topic but do not ask them before you will not know if they know something about the topic.

I will set the camera to the right angle to see the interviewee and the interviewer

Summary of challenging interview 23/02/2015

What I have learn in this lesson is about challenging my self in different types of situation I can be when I will interview the interviewee and I have to be prepare into different situations that can happen during the interview for my documentary. This lesson we have watch couple of different types of interviews and how they using interview techniques, I have learn that you have to have good communication with interviewee and make him/her feel comfortable and then I ask him/her question during the conversation and also make the conversation very light and easy to know more about interviewee.

If the topic in my documentary will be very intense I have to be calm and make the topic easy to make interviewee and prepare my self for any situations that can happen such as the interviewee can cry and can be very aggressive to me, in this situations I have be calm and still asking the same question to find out information related to my topic.

Also what I have learn from this lesson that interview questions have to be easy for interviewee to make him to understand the question and the topic matter.

Vox Pop - Review

Through carrying out the vox-pop about bullying in School/ Colleges I was trying to find out from the audience how they experienced the bullying, why the bullying is happening and try to get as much feedback and informations from my interviewee and test out few questions that I might ask in my real documentary but this was only practice that I can try to find out what answers I might get from different people if I ask the similar questions to them.

The effectiveness of my vox-pop is basically the camera angles that show we are in the class room and it represent we are in school and plus I think the effectiveness of my vox-pop was questions because one of the question been personal/private questions about if you ever been bullied and how did you experienced this type of bullying and how did you feel.

I was also hoping to used establishing shot and mid-shots and the angle to understand what the best outcomes will be and what I think would be the most effective relating to my topic. I am happy what I done for this interview practice because it gave me some clues what I might used for my real documentary. 

Analysing Interview Techniques - Lady Gaga - Jonathan Ross Interview

The person I will focused on is the Interviewer call Jonathan Ross he born on 17 November 1960 he is an English television and radio presenter, best known for presenting the BBC One chat show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross during the 2000s and for this show he has interviewee Lady Gaga.

Jonathan Ross his aim is to found out from Lady Gaga the all costumes, dresses that she has it, he want  to find out why she dresses like that, what people will think about her, where she keeping all costumes.
How she inspiring people by dressing like that, she want to be different to other artist. Lady Gaga is more preferring sad fashion and how she inspiring people.

The purpose of the interview is about expressing opinion about her fashion, how she want to inspiring her audience, Jonathan Ross asking Lady Gaga mostly open question and close question and she is answering very open, she got her opinion about her style and she want be accepted. She doesn't have any friends she got friends around stages in concerts.

Structure
The introduction of the interview was very open, Lady Gaga has answer mostly questions, Jonathan Ross was very nice to her and she either prove this in his interview, the development question that he was asking her was very open but when he want to ask about her personal life she didn't either answered and that was closed question.

Jonathan Ross want to build with her good connection and what this call is (Building Rapport) and this how Jonathan want to be confidence-building, when he is asking about her personal life, Lady Gaga want prevent before she going to answer a question and she is picking up her telephone which is basically her hat.

Communication skills 

Jonathan Ross want to build with Lady Gaga good connection between them (building rapport), The way he did this is asking her question relating to her costumes, with people she works and what she experience on stages (concert) and how she feels about it and what fans thinks with her.
Body language of Jonathan Ross was very good, he been pointing on Lady Gaga costumes, he been joking with her.




Comparing Ross Kemp and Jonathan Ross interviewing skills which they presented are very different and each of them got different style of asking questions. After watching Jonathan Ross's interview with Lady Gaga we can see that he ask her multiply questions and in some instance he disrupts her while she is talking to either make a joke or add a humour effect.
When interviewing Lady Gaga Jonathan Ross uses a lot of hand movement when making a point such as pointing at her when saying 'you' similarly  Ross Kemp  also used similar hand movements when interviewing his interviewee but I believe Kemp uses this to make sure his  interviewee  who understand him (able to communicate)  due to the interviewee not having English as their first language.

My opinion about The Cruel Cut (2013)

I think that the cruel cut should be stop in United Kingdom and other countries because this is not related to religion or any of believes, and also in France what is the best thing that every girl is being check by the local doctor to found is they done FGM. The whole campaign is organised very well they way she persuade people to come and see the FGM story why they doing this and why should stopped. Also she only invited people from her culture which is from country Somalia. 



The cruel cut analyse
The social issue being focused on this documentary is all about FGM, the FGM is basically removing or cutting a part of vagina and why they doing this because is to protect women, and make sure that she want have sex before marriage. The whole FGM is being weird because some people that this is a religion tradition and every women have to do FGM when they are either young or older and know one can stop this. In UK they want to be against FGM and Leila is the person who will help people to find out what is FGM, she has presented to males genders and females that has never know about FGM and to find out, what kind of pain is that and she will show lot of examples.

Closing West Croydon Bus Station

This topic is all about West Croydon bus station to close until 2016 for redevelopment work, Many Croydon locals were shocked to find West Croydon bus station closed.. The closure is scheduled to last until until early 2016 as extensive redevelopment is undertaken at the terminal.

No buses will stop at the station for at least 15 months, but the estimated 8 million commuters that will be affected were only informed of the refurbishment at the beginning 2015 but station has been closed in 2014 between october and november.Some residents have complained that the transport company and the council did not advertise the changes to their journey routes in advance.

Bullying

This topic is all about bullying, both Cyber and in real life, this topic is a serious issue, which has lead to; isolation from the outside world, self harming and going beyond even that; Suicide. And I personally believe that those things are the answer to stop people from being bully, in some case it might be encouraged knowing that the victim is afraid and vulnerable, so I’ll be looking further into this, asking questions to people about the topic and then getting answers from former victims of it and how they coped with it all.

The main topic I will focused on is schools and work places where the bullying is happening all the time, and my role will be ask people questions what are the reasons for bullying, why the people do that, what we can do about it, and what people are feelings and what they feel when they been bullied long time ago or either few days or months.

This topic is about abortion, and what is all about is that abortion in United Kingdom should be legal or illegal. The abortion is a topic that will never finished, there will be lot of confrontation about abortion, why there should no abortion in United Kingdom, maybe is the reason of the church, why church does not allow the abortion etc. 

I role will be to find out why abortion is bad, what are reason for abortion, why the church doesn't allow abortion, what are feelings of people how done abortion and why they decided to do abortion? and if there will be second chance to give the infant a life what they will say?


C) All the three initial ideas that I have research on are ideas that I can create my own documentary and show what I am thinking about it and show to people what I feel and people who are the main targets in those topics etc. What I am thinking to do about the three topics is to do more research on those three topics and decide later on which topic will be suitable to make the documentary on and what it will be easy for me .

The two topics out of three are the main topics that happens nowadays and it will be still going on around the world. Bullying and Abortion are topic that contain serious stuff, bullying is about harming someone, make the person to commit suicide or to runaway from the environment that the person live and I think the topic I choose is one of the ideas that I can record the documentary. The another topic is Abortion, abortion is the topic that have different views from different views, what I mean is the personal opinion about the abortion, also another opinion from churches what they think is bad to do abortions and from government, what are consequences of abortion, what government can do to you if you abort the child(infant).
The last topic is closing the West Croydon Bus station where around 2 million passenger are using public transport everyday, and I think it is good topic to made the documentary on because there will be problem for people who been using buses from West Croydon station everyday and now they have to find different area where they can find the bus to travel to the work with no any road problems.

Those three topic are very good topics that I can record the documentaries on but what I have decided that the topic I will made the documentary on bullying because is nowadays issue that is still happening and it can not be stop in the 21st century and I decide that I will made lot of research on this topic and think how I can put this everything in one piece.

The documentary effectiveness has proven to be a marketing success, as mentioned earlier, it caught global attention and was enforced by the U.S government and army following the U.S president, Barack Obama's orders. It's influence fuled by social media networks such as Twitter and Facebook had been the soucre of the attention it created. The documentary itself was broadcast online, allowing free and convenient access for people to watch and learn from just from a simple ''retweet'' or ''share'' of a button. Cleverly using his toddler son to manipulate and influence his audiences emotions and concerns saying ''If this was your child, what would you do ?'' to encourage sympathy and compassion amongst the viewers watching his documenarty as a tactic to possibly have more money donated.  Though the documentary succeeded in creating awarness and funds for the campaign, it failed to capture Joseph Kony which was one of the aims of the entire campaign and documentary. The charity organisation, Invisible Children still aid in protecting children in danger of being kidnapped by Joseph Kony. Until now they are still welcoming donations for funding the help required to free kidnapped children in Africa. As proven in the documentary, children were recued from the capture of Joseph Kony and either brought to the U.S to be an experienced ambassador for the charity or returned to their families.

Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels  

Narrative:
the narrative structure shows the film that has a couple of flashback on beginning, middle and end for example when there was a flashback of Bacon and his friend walking into the pub and a man on fire comes out running and screaming that what makes this film non-linear, however film shows another flashback and is very hardly any special effects and just a couple which makes it neither like City of God. Also what I have found that in the scene when a gang goes to the house of another gang to get the money and weed and then a women appears from no where and it start to shooting at them, the director of the film has put them in the slow motion effect in which added humor to that scene. I think that it is the dark humor that is sued through the film that keeps the audience maintained.

Genre
The codes and conventions for this film that make the genre clear for example money is always on the frist place without money film want make any sense because usually the characters either want money and be wealthy or owe someone very important money. The another example that you will always find in gangster genre is drugs/cocain. In Scarface or City Of God the main drugs used was cocaine which is usually the common drug used in gangster films. The another conventions is guns and knifes have been in gangster films from the old days till nowadays, and they are very common thing in film that you will find in this genre. One thing that I thought was cleaver about this film is the way they added a stereotype in this type of film considering its not your typical gangster film, and that is when we saw Rory Breaker and his Hench Men wearing long black coats and this made it clear that this person is also either important or powerful. 

Representation

The representation of women is small and there is no any female character in the film, which actually says more about the representation as to if they were to have a lead female character in the film . I feel that women are stereo-typically as they are weaker, sex object. The men are seen as dominant and stronger and also powerful - which is how they are portrayed in this film very well, the men within this film have been represented as very violent and we do not see a variety of characters as each of them has a part in violence, which is another stereotype, The males in Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels are potrayted in different way one of the males characters is weaker and one of the is stronger and stronger characters can have a full power on weaker one.


Target Audience

The certificate of the film is 18+ and it is target audience that the film is aimed at adults over the age of 18.

However considering the genre of the film and storyline and also the actors involved it has a specific adult audience. What I have found is this film that a film includes drugs and gang related issues which could suggest an audience specific social class. The violence and abusive language that is involved in the film, such as the scene where a guy was murdered upside down when a guy by throwing a knife at his head that the target audience that the film would be aimed at 18 or over.

Violence: 
The violence in the film makes it more interested to watch due to the characters that are committing it. The film is about four men that find themselves in big debt to an East End hard man and his enforces after a card game or poker. The four men discuss various illegal schemes to obtain the money and stole from thieves next door who themselves have drug growing operation,where they grow the cannabis plants. When everything takes a turn and when they trying to go through with their plan, Eddy and his friends realise that they are out of their depth and desperately look for a way out before they find themselves in trouble. In my opinion all gangster films have the same type of theme because always they are there elements that all gangster genre films has to have without will be nothing. This film has some similarities with the film City Of God and also with the film Scarface. Themes wise however it is used differently than the other films. The example that I have found in other films is an example of power, in Scarface Tony wants to be wealthy and powerful and in City Of God Lil ze the Antagonist of the film wants to be powerful and have a City of God under his control.
